In 1992, while producing solitaire card games under a different company name, the development team found themselves unable to locate the utilities that they needed in their day to day tasks.  To fill this void, we began to develop them ourselves.  There in the hamlet of Carmel, New York, Salty Brine Software was born. 

Since that time we have developed and distributed Windows utilities that we can be proud of. Our flagship product, FolderMatch has won almost most every award that can be bestowed on a piece of shareware including the prestigious Shareware Industry awards' Best Overall Utility and People's Choice Award in 2002 and 2003.

The goal of Salty Brine Software has always been to create reliable, powerful yet easy to use software that is attractive and affordable. (Our version of the 'Golden Rule' ) Judging from the feedback from our world-wide users, it's safe to say that we are achieving our objective. 

Salty Brine Software has been developing Windows applications for over 10 years. Our tools are used daily by home users and corporate users.  They can be found in most of the Fortune 500 companies and are sold in over 100 countries.


The name 'Salty Brine' comes from a little beach in Rhode Island that the founders of the company used to frequent years ago. Their dream of one day living and working by the ocean has become a reality for them. God is indeed good.  In the summer of 2003 Salty Brine Software relocated its office to Palm Coast, Florida.
